I am a skin care junkie and I was exited to try Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel! I try so many different products each year and some are hits and some are misses. Today I have found another hit! Dickinson’s is known for their products with witch hazel. Witch Hazel is known to help with oily skin so I was eager to try this! I’ve been wanting to try witch hazel for years and never got a chance too!
The Dickinson’s Foaming Facial Wash is my favorite product out of the three I tried. I use this every morning. This has no soaps, fragrances, oils, dyes, parabens, or sulfates. It has an interesting scent. I got use to it after awhile and don’t notice it now. After using this for over 2 weeks on a daily basis I can notice a little less oil production throughout the day. I can always tell if a face wash works for me by how my face reacts through the day (some make my face more or less oily than others). I love love love this! It doesn’t really take off makeup in one cleansing but if you do two rinses, it does the trick.
Next, I have the Dickinson’s Gentle Skin Cleanser. I feel like it does the same thing as the face wash without the foaming action. I am not usually a fan of creamy cleansers so I definitely prefer the foaming one. I noticed this one left my skin more smooth and soft while the foaming face wash left my face non oily, which is what I like better.
The Dickinson’s Oil Controlling Astringent is my second favorite product! There is one con though. The smell is pretty unappetizing. I was surprised by how unpleasant the scent was. I sucked it up though and used it daily. I’m glad I did! I used it right after I washed my face and before my nightly moisturizer. Sometimes in the morning my face gets really oily, while using this my face was not an oil slick that I am use to. In conjunction with the foaming face wash I really have seen my face reduce in oiliness!
Another great thing about these products are that they are all reasonably priced and can be found at drug stores!

I’ve heard quite a few mUA’s use witch hazel on their clients, I think I’ll consider giving this a try

Witch hazel is pretty amazing. I used to use it as a toner all the time until I switched to TBS’s tea tree oil toner. I still like witch hazel though!
I’ve heard this is great on bruises, too (witch hazel)
