I finally gave gradient nails a try! I’ve been seeing them everywhere and they look so pretty. They don’t look that complicated either so I decided to try. I don’t have the names of the Color Club nail polishes but they are part of a neon collection. I actually tried with 3 different colors at first, it looked good but reminded me of an Easter egg… so I changed it up to some summer colors!
I started with 2 layers of Color Club Neon Yellow. Then I painted a stripe of Color Club Neon Orange and Revlon Sorbet onto a cosmetic sponge. I dabbed the sponge on each nail starting from the tip. I reapplied nail polish to the sponge when needed. I then added a layer of Essie Shine of Times.
I loved how Essie Shine of Times helped make the gradient transitions look better. At first you cold kind of see the sponged effect and it didn’t look as “gradient-y” as I would like. With the Essie Shine of Times top coat, it looks much better!
Have you tried doing a gradient on your nails? What colors did you use?
DISCLAIMER: I purchased some of these items myself. I received others in swaps or from PR reps. All opinions are mine.
