Tips on How to Apply the Nail Wrap Good
Now that the Jamberry Nail Wrap Collection has been introduced and the prices are laid out, it is time to apply these cute and stylish nail stickers to achieve that stylish and creative nail couture.
Here are some tips and techniques on how to apply the nail wrap to your fingernails:
Warm Them Up!
These stickers or nail wraps are heat activated; thus, it will be best to have them warmed up for 3-5 seconds.
A blow dryer works best for this. This is also a critical part of the process, so do not skip it.
Trace The Nail
Once the nail wrap or sticker has been visualized on how the style ad design goes, cut it in half and trace the nail it will be applied on. This way, no excess will be wasted or vice versa.
Tracing it before sticking to the nail will ensure that it will be covered perfectly as if it were manually made like nail art or manicure gel.
Buff Up Before Sticking Up
After tracing the nails and visualizing how it will go, smoothen out the surface of the said nail before applying the sticker.
Buffing the nail bed with a nail file before sticking the nail wrap is essential as this eliminates small particles that may cause undesirable results to the sticking of the wrap.
Smoothen it out with a top coat or clear coat for added sureness.
Use Anything to pick up the adhesive.
Except for the hands. Exposing the adhesive part of the sticker will affect how it will latch onto the nail.
Using a stick or pencil to get it is highly advisable not to leave oil or residue on the adhesive found in the nail wrap.
Apply Accordingly With No Rush
Stick it onto the nail and let the air escape by smoothing out the edges and pushing it from the end of the nailbeds to the tip of the nail.
If this is not attached correctly, the nail wrap won't stick too long to the nail. It is adjustable, so if the look of it is not what was initially desired, it may be removed and placed again.
If There is Excess, Buff It out Again
With a downward motion of buffing the end of the nail where the excess is, slowly buff it in one direction to break off the excess.
Never buff it in a forward and backward motion like usual, as this can erase the style and design imprinted on the nail wrap.
Use a glass file or ordinary nail file for this. Both are good.
If Bubbles Appear Underneath the Wrap, Use the Cuticle Remover
Once the excess is removed, and suddenly bubbles and bumps appear on the surface from underneath the nail wrap sticker, use gently the cuticle remover to push away the bubbles and have them escape from the tip of the nails.
Finish it Off with a Clear and Top Coating
For a glossy finish, put 1-2 brushes of top coating or a Clear coat on the nail to pull the look together.
Should there is no top coating preferred, then a matte finish for the nail wrap or sticker will be achieved.
Either way, this collection will still look stunning on the wearer.
In Case of Removal
If the nail wrap is needed to remove, the user may warm it up once more with a fan or blow-dryer using the lowest setting not to burn the hands.
Gently peel off the nail wrap and use the cuticle pusher for a better result.
Wipe off the sticky adhesive left or any other residue on the nail bed using nail polish remover.
Buff the nail bed once more to smoothen it out, or use the cuticle remover if there are bumps present from the leftover residue.
