Do you have more nail polishes than 20? It's quite likely if you're reading this post. You already know that keeping track of a sizable nail polish collection can sometimes be challenging. You can't seem to discover the color you want, or you've lost the way with the specific hues you own. Well, I recognize the sensation. If you follow me on Instagram or even Snapchat, you've probably seen my mission to organize my collection and stop this nail paint jumble.

Getting bubbles when having your nails done is a disappointing phenomenon. But unfortunately, it is only sometimes that it's not there. Bubbles naturally appear due to some scientific reasons during nail polish applications. Bubbles annoy everyone and find it making their nail art and nail polish become imperfect beyond the hours spent to beautify one's self. When bubbles emerge in a flawlessly done manicure or pedicure, it is a good thing is that there are remedies and ways to prevent and avoid it to make you feel more satisfied and gorgeous.

How then can you prevent bubbles in the top coat and nail polish? The most crucial question is: Why does nail polish bubble? Let's find out.

Here are effective ways in preventing and avoiding bubbles in nail polish, and these are proven!

1. Make sure to prepare and have your nails done in a cool, dry area. The body can produce bubbles when it is too hot. After briefly soaking your hands in cold water to reduce heat, dry them, and paint your nails.

2. Stay away from open-air areas or anywhere that is too windy and airy when doing your nails. An area that is having strong air conditioners should also be avoided. The wind, air, and amount of humidity or temperature influence the cause of bubbling when applying your nail polish or gel. Doing your nails in an open area like a poolside, a terrace, or an open deck can be relaxing but you will risk getting bubbles. Make sure that the amount of windiness is not too strong. It is very desirable to do your nails in a well-ventilated area, but it is more recommended to do it inside the house or room.

3. Do not shake your polish or top coat. Roll the polish between your hands' palms if you need to combine it. When you shake the polish, millions of small, invisible bubbles are produced that, after the lacquer is applied to your nail, will appear as much larger bubbles. If you absolutely must shake a polish, wait at least a day before applying it.

4. Never use or apply top coats or polish that are too thick. The likelihood of seeing bubbles increases with polish thickness. The polish or top coat is thinner and the bubbles appear more quickly with a new bottle. Add a few drops of polish thinners, such as this one, to your polish if it is too thick. However, avoid using acetone or polish remover to dilute your polish because doing so will destroy the lacquer's composition forever.

5. Never leave the polish lid uncapped. When the polish is exposed to air, it thickens. As a result, the longer the lid is left off, the more air enters and the polish thickens. And everyone is aware that a heavy polish will bubble.

6. When painting, keep the brush on your nail. The ideal way to use a method is to do it in a single motion. I'll provide a video lesson on this method soon. Try three lengthy, slow strokes per nail if you can't accomplish it in one. Pushing air into the polish will need short, swift strokes. The ideal method for applying the top coat is as follows. Sometimes, even if you successfully stick the foil on your nails, it easily shrinks once the top coat is added. Unlike with gel, the process is smooth once you cured your base layer. I attempted on any nail art pattern but reached the point that even simply sticking the foil to the nail gets very hard. Yet with determination and patience, after 2 days of failed attempts, I have finally mastered the craft of nail art foil. After practicing this art, I can now share with you the complete guide on how to achieve the nail art foil I have been drooling about. A Guide to Nail Art Foil

1. Choose a black polish and apply one coat.

Pick a dark-colored polish as the base if you are using foils with polish. Through this, the foil will be less obvious if in case it bleeds.

2. Apply the second coat of polish and leave it for a few minutes until it almost dries up but is still slightly sticky. You will know that it is still tacky if it leaves a fingerprint after touching the polish. Then, press a small piece of foil on your nails until it is totally attached to your nails. If the polish gets stuck to the foil and even lifts from the nails, keep on pressing a bit more for a few seconds before you attempt to lift again to check if it successfully sticks.

3. Do the same (step number 2) on all your fingernails. if you notice that some polish on your nails is lifted in a few spots, you can cover it with another piece of foil (2nd foil layer) to fill in the areas of polish. This is the advantage of using dark-colored polish because it can cover flaws. A top coat to be applied later will do wonders on the surface of your nails so you need not worry if your nails don't look perfectly pleasing at this point.

4 . Before applying the top coat, wait for at least 5 minutes for it to set. Apply and move smoothly the top coat to your nails while avoiding the surface of your nails to touch the brush. Let the first layer dry up. Then apply the second layer to even out the surface of your nails and cover the flaws.

Note: Some top coats are not foil-friendly. Before applying the top coat to finished foil nails, make sure to try it first over the foil to check if it works.
